Podcast: Helping registrars build skills in advance care planning

Product Description

This presentation will assist GP supervisors to teach registrars their role in advance care planning and how to support their patients in the process. Presented by Dr Chris Moy and Helena Rodi. Being able to pass on the skills of patient-centred care and advance care planning is essential as a GP supervisor. Patients often face complex and difficult decisions related to their treatment which they may not be able to decide if they become mentally impaired. Advance care planning enables people to plan for future health care and document their values and preferences for medical treatment if they are unable to express these in the future.
